Calls that hit voicemail, ring out, or come in after hours. Check your phone system's missed-call log for a normal week, then a bad one. Most 2–5 truck shops land between 3 and 10.
Average ticket
What a job that starts with a phone call is worth to you. After-hours calls skew high: a burst pipe, a no-heat, a water heater. Use your own average, not ours.
Share that would book
Not every answered call becomes a job. Some are quotes, some are out of area, some change their mind. We default to 60%. The common sales-page version assumes 100%, which overstates the number.
